Choose Your Company Name

Please provide four(4) names. If the first is not available, the second will be used, and if that is not available, the third name will be used and so forth.
All companies will be registered as (PTY) LTD. This will automatically be added to the end of your company name.

3. COMPANYNAME HOLDINGS
4. COMPANYNAME INDUSTRIES (you can really choose anything, this is just an example)

Your company name will probably stay the same for the duration of your companies lifetime, so choose wisely.

Indicate how many directors as well as how many owner (regardless whether these are the same people or not) the company will have.

This is the name to use if your preferred name is not available

In the unlikely event that the second name is also not available, this name will be registered

This is really unlikely to be used, but it has happened before, so please provide a last and final option

The directors of a company are not necessarily the owners who benefit from the profits. The government now require you to disclose all owners with a stake of 5% or more.
(There is a fee for each beneficial owner that need to be submitted.)

Companies that fail to file beneficial ownership information may face a court-ordered administrative fine of 10% of the company’s turnover or R1 million, whichever is greater.

Description

On 29 December 2022, the South African government published the General Laws (Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Terrorism Financing) Amendment Act 22 of 2022 including amendments to the Companies Act 71 of 2008 that came into effect on 1 April 2023.

This brought about the submission of beneficial ownership no later than thirty (30) days after incorporation o a new company. You will therefore also have to submit the Beneficial ownership  within the next 30 days to avoid penalties or deregistration of this newly formed entity.

When selecting this product, we will also submit your beneficial ownership just after the formation of your new entity.
